What's difference between an overridden reward against points credit?
Please note, with an overridden reward you skip the logic that maps point credits to reward. In other words, it is a way to offer users cash bonus that conforms no particular promotion rules but it is at the discretion of yours. This reward amount will show up in user's account and will be paid as a normal payment.
You can offer bonus cash to any user irrespective of the type of the campaign and whether default campaign reward is of type cash or not. As against, the points credit only adds to the reward points of users as would happen if they get it through automated script tracking. These points need to redeemed by user to get reward or will be picked up by our system to map to reward as per the rules set in the promotion. Each point credit may or may not result in reward (e.g. if your campaign requires 5 point credits to get reward adding just one credit will not immediately result in a new reward). In nutshell, whenever you are overriding data almost always you want to add point’s credit. Overriding reward is only relevant if you plan to offer one-off cash bonus to a particular user.
